VICTORY LANE AT  MARSHALLTOWN!
Team 3W was reunited with an old friend on August 5:  Victory lane!  

 
   

A solid 3rd place finish in the heat race left plenty to be hopeful about, but we were having trouble reading the track for the feature.  We finally decided to stick with our original gameplan and we were rewarded for it.

Jeff started 5th and quickly moved into 2nd behind Todd Reitzler.  After a couple more laps, he took the lead while staying glued to the low side of the track.  Trent Murphy would challenge during the middle part of the race by running one car-width higher than Jeff.  He even led a couple laps, but Jeff buttoned it down, mashed the gas and took command.  Lapped traffic provided more than enough excitement toward the end of the race but he handled it well.  After taking the checkers, Jeff gave the crowd and his crew some nice burnouts at the exit of turn 4!

Even with our great peformances the last few weeks, we still have work to do with this new car.  We've made significant improvement, but there are still some things to improve on that will make the car faster!
